Why did the user interface change from the previous Perdix version?
The new interface allows users to more easily see upcoming menu selections so they can navigate through the items more effectively.
How does the Perdix 3 compare to the Perdix 2 and other Shearwater computers?
The Perdix 3 has the same dimensions as the Perdix 2, but the screen size is 19% larger and has 4 times higher resolution with Perdix 3’s AMOLED display compared to the Perdix 2’s LCD. You can view a full comparison chart to see how the Perdix 3 stacks up.
Do Perdix 2 accessories work with the Perdix 3?
Yes, the existing Perdix straps, protective cases, and screen protectors will fit the Perdix 3.
Does Perdix 3 have Freedive Mode?
Yes, Freedive Mode optimizes the Perdix 3 for freediving. Although many of the basic functions of the computer are the same as in other dive modes, Freedive Mode has several unique features.
Free divers can set fully customizable settings such as alerts and alarms, for different situations. For example, it can perform a certain vibration for every 30 seconds and a different vibration every 10 meters, so free divers can get their critical information without looking at the screen. The Perdix 3 has our most powerful vibration system which is ideal for free diving.
Note, since decompression tissues are not tracked in Freedive Mode, changing to or from Freedive Mode resets the deco tissues.
